The responses of the students to the questions they were asked about
postural issues in the schools where they had been working suggested
several areas of concern. The mismatch between the size of tables
and chairs was identified by nearly all of them as problematic.

Comments such as:
'tables and chairs too small, causing the children to "shrink"
themselves into the space'
were prevalent and further evidence of a feature of English classrooms
that is in marked contrast to the more ergonomically aware furniture
design to be found in many Scandanavian schools.
