Students commented that:

'the angle of the tables produced "poor Use" for the majority of pupils'

and it was evident that:

'most children hunched over their work'.

Students noted children's writing positions and commented on the way in which some of them tilted their chairs forward to try to avoid slumping over their work. Inevitably they were told to put the four legs back on the floor for safety reasons.
